Brock Lesnar was suspended for one year by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, TheWrap.com reports. He tested positive to powerful estrogen drugs, clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene .
Samples were collected both before as well as the night of his fight against Mark Hunt on July 9th, which he won. The outcome of the bout was changed into a no contest. “The Next Big Thing” was also fined $250,000 dollars, although his victory was worth $2.5 million.
After returning to the octagon since 2011 to the sound of Metallica’s Enter Sandman at UFC 200, Lesnar came back to WWE as well. As a part-time performer, he will not face consequences as he does not fit the comapany’s wellness policy.
At the moment it is not known whether or not he will continue to fight after his suspension is lifted on July 9th, 2017.
